Brioche French Toast

DSC_9000Ever since I found out I was pregnant I have been waiting for the cravings to kick in. Much to my dismay it really hasn’t happened yet, except for my new found love with breakfast. I was searching online for a french toast recipe and The Huffington Post claimed that this is The Only French Toast Recipe You’ll Ever Need and man are they right. The recipe from Martha Stewart takes longer than your normal french toast recipe, but it is so worth the wait. I hope you enjoy these as much as I did! And as a bonus- they actually reheat really well:)

WSG at Home- Dining Room

CB2 table, Ikea chairs, West Elm light, Ikea sheepskin rugs, Paint color- Dutch Licorice by Valspar

After months of tweaking, I’m finally ready to share a few pictures of our home and I am starting with the dining room! I really loved the idea of doing a dark wall and making the ceiling and light fixture the focal point of the room. I added a simple DIY canvas with our wedding song lyrics and some quirky touches on the bookcase and am really happy with how it turned out. I hope you enjoy room one of our home tour!

Greek Yogurt Coffee Cake

DSC_7093I don’t normally make coffee cake, but I bookmarked this recipe for Greek Yogurt Coffee Cake from a Beautiful Mess with the hopes of making it on a lazy weekend morning. This Memorial Day weekend proved to be the perfect opportunity to make this and I am so glad that I did. The topping adds the perfect amount of sweetness and you will be going back to take little pieces of this coffee cake all weekend long.DSC_7088DSC_7096Chelsea

Baby Barriga

IMG_8342Life around here has obviously been changing a lot lately! We are expecting our first baby in November and are beyond excited. We found out just 6 days after moving into our new house- so between unpacking, settling into pregnancy, and just taking a little time to relax- my blog has been pretty deserted. I still want to continue to post and share all the house updates, baby fun, and pregnancy fashion- but it may not be as frequent or as wordy as it has been in the past. I hope you all follow along in this new chapter in our lives- I can’t wait to share it all. Especially the nursery which I can’t wait to get my hands on once we know if Baby Barriga will be a boy or a girl:)DSC_7058Express tank top, BB Dakota skirt (from Edith Hart)

Coconut Cupcakes

DSC_6989When my mom asked me to bring dessert home for Easter, I immediately knew I wanted to make these coconut cupcakes from Ina Garten. They are one of my absolute favorites and the shredded coconut serves as a perfect resting place for some festive Peeps! A couple other great options to bring to your Easter meal are these lemon buttermilk cookies or key lime pie bars. Β Enjoy:)DSC_6991DSC_6996Chelsea
